“Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them,
for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”
- Matthew 19:14
Our Confraternity of Christian Doctrine ministry ensures that Catholic children in public schools can attend Special Religious Education (SRE) classes, nurturing their spiritual growth and sharing the Good News of God’s love. This is made possible with thanks to the generosity of people like you and the faithful dedication of 547 volunteer SRE Catechists, who are sowing seeds of faith in children across 195 public schools in Western Sydney and the Blue Mountains.
With 547 Catechists teaching more than 14,000 students in Scripture classes across our Diocese, we have a shortage of local parish-based religious education resources, and we need your support.
Will you help establish a local teaching library for children at your parish?
Our mission is to equip every one of our 47 parishes with the Vatican-approved To Know, Worship & Love educational library for primary school students. These large-format books and posters are vital for Catechists to share the Gospel, nurture children's spiritual growth, and deepen their love for Jesus.
Your kind-hearted and faith-filled gift today will help build local parish libraries that equip our dedicated Catechists with the resources they need to teach Scripture to Catholic children in public primary schools, share the joy of the Gospel, and nurture their spiritual growth.
Thank you for helping share the Good News! Sowing the seeds of faith in the hearts and minds of children and letting them know Jesus loves them will have a profound impact on their spiritual wellbeing and help them deepen their understanding and love for Jesus.
